After a windy and cold past few months it is finally HOT! Bait is becoming more plentiful and we are seeing a lot more fish moving toward the outside. A late season cold front has our tarpon kind of scattered but they are starting to be seen here in more numbers than the previous couple of weeks. The cold did have it's advantages. Spanish and King Mackerel were fired up for a few weeks and we were catching more trout than I would expect to this time of year. With the water temperature looking like it's going to stay in the 80's the fishing should be about to get really good. I would expect to be boating some tarpon here in the near future (along with big sharks) and catching some quality snook right around the beaches.
